University of Algarve 

Faro is the capital of the Algarve region in southern Portugal. Some of the popular attractions in Faro include its Old Town, the Cathedral of Faro, and the Ria Formosa Natural Park. Faro is also known for its beautiful beaches, which are located just a short distance from the city center. Faro is well-connected to other parts of Portugal via trains and buses and has the third largest airport in Portugal.

Gambelas Campus is the largest campus of the University of Algarve (UAlg) and is located on the outskirts of Faro, near the international airport. The University campus is connected to the Airport and Faro city center by bus or taxi. The SPAOM 2023 meeting will take place in the main auditorium ("Grande Auditório", Building 4), coffee-breaks, poster sessions and exhibitor stands will be in the hall area and adjacent spaces. The workshops will take place in Building 2, in modern classrooms equipment with state-of-the-art technology.

Get a plane to Seville (Spain) and travel to Faro by bus (Alsa/ Rede Expressos, FlixBus). Distance ~200km.
